Parking my car in the car park, I opened the door and got out. Standing at the entrance to my new stable, I smiled. It was all mine now. I had inherited some money when my grandmother died and this was what I put it to. Buying a stable and fulfilling my dream.

Hearing a clatter behind me, I turned and smiled again. That was my new horse arriving then. As the trailer pulled in, I waited for the sleer to get out. As she did, I walked forward, moving to shake hands with her. A clatter distracted me as I remembered that my new horse, Oria, didn't like travelling. Shrugging, I moved towards the trailer, unlatching the back and then moving to the jockey door.

Seeing my beautiful horse again, I stroked her bay neck, calming her. When she was ready, I undid her lead rope and backed her out of the trailer. In the evening light, she looked even more perfect then she was. She would make a great competition horse, with her long sloping hindquarters and powerful hocks.

Leading her towards the stables, I smiled at her. Hopefully she would be happy here. As I let her loose into the stable, I watched as she went straight for the hay net. Typical horse.

Locking the barn doors behind me, I checked everything before crossing the yard to my new cottage. I had made sure that I got this cottage so that I could be close to the stables, in case of an emergency. Sighing contentedly, I retreated into the house and started to cook dinner. Right now, everything was perfect for me.
